Dora Rubinstein

AWGC Director & Projects Coordinator

Dora graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2014, and soon discovered a passion for making work for young people. As a performer she’s worked across the UK at theatres like Leicester Square Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, Oldham Coliseum, York Theatre Royal and the Dukes, Lancaster. She also has recently toured the USA twice with lovely children’s theatre company Tutti Frutti.

Whilst doing her degree, for fun, Dora went to a trapeze class. Then a tumbling class. Then an acrobalance class. Then a handstands class. Then a… you get the idea! Through circus Dora discovered a passion for movement, for exploring all the amazing things are bodies are capable of, rather than what they look like. In 2017 she completed acro and yoga teacher trainings, as well as working for a specialist gymnastics centre for young children. Since then, Dora has taught circus skills across the world.

In 2019 Dora moved back up North . She loves being upside down, doing strange bendy things and travelling across the world!
